  • Switching module

The switching centre of data service, implements data switching, Ethernet, VLAN, multicast, IP route, QoS, och säkerhetsfunktioner.

Consists of control software, protocol processing software, overhead processing, Ethernet switching chip, and control CPU, provides interfaces for cards to forcedly download versions and reset hardware/software, provides online detection for cards, implements fan detection and control functions.

Processes system clock and time, complies with ITU-T G.8262, G.8264, G.781, and RFC 1305.
