The appearance size of 10G SFP+ optical module is reduced by about 30% compared with the earlier XFP optical module, which is the same as the appearance of ordinary 1-4G SFP optical module. The 10G SFP+ optical module only retains the basic electro-optical and photoelectric conversion functions, reducing the SerDes, CDR, EDC, MAC and other signal control functions in the original XFP design, thereby simplifying the design of the 10G optical module and reducing the power consumption. . The 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical module is mainly composed of the first clock data recovery module, array drive module, laser emission module, photoelectric conversion module and electrical signal processing module.
- The data recovery module will perform data recovery processing on the input 100G electrical signal, and then input the processed electrical signal to the array drive module.
- The array drive module then modulates and demodulates the received electrical signal, and then transmits it to the laser emitting module
- In the part of the laser transmitter module, the electrical signal will be converted into an optical signal and then coupled to the optical fiber
- The coupled optical signal will be transmitted to the photoelectric conversion module, and then converted into an electrical signal again, and output to the electrical signal processing module
- Finally, the electrical signal processing module is used to convert the electrical signal to the main control terminal after performing current conversion voltage and amplifying processing.
The 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical module has four transmission channels. Since it transmits 100G signals, it divides 100G electrical signals into 4 electrical signals and transmits them in the form of 4*25G electrical signals. From the above analysis, it can be known that after the optical fiber transmits the optical signal to the photoconductor array, the receiving end needs to modulate and demodulate the optical signal, and the optical signal is converted into a weak current signal through the principle of photoelectric effect of the photoconductor array.
