- Large Capacity and High Reliability
Huawei NetEngine 8000 M8 Router series provides a maximum capacity of 2 Tbps. The M14 supports up to 2 Tbps, evolvable to 4.8 Tbps, and the M8 supports up to 1.2 Tbps, evolvable to 2 Tbps. The M series meets the requirements for large-capacity and converged service bearing on IP networks in the 5G and cloud era. In addition, the M series routers adopt a redundancy design for key components, such as control units, forwarding units, power modules, and fans. This ensures that the M series provides stable services to customers.
- Compact Design
Huawei NetEngine 8000 M8 Router leverage a new hardware platform. At only 220 mm deep, the M series can be easily installed in a 300 mm-deep cabinet. The engine 8000 M14 is only 5 U high, and the engine 8000 M8 is only 3 U high, reducing the footprint in equipment rooms by more than 20% compared with the industry average.
- Diversified Ports
Huawei NetEngine 8000 M8 Router provide diversified ports, including 100GE, 50GE, 40GE, 25GE, and 10GE ports, and low-speed ports such as E1, CPOS, POS, FE, and GE ports, to meet the requirements of various access scenarios.
- All-Scenario Platform
Huawei NetEngine 8000 M8 Router is an all-scenario platform that can function as an SR, PE, DC gateway, or broadband network gateway (BNG), simplifying network layers and node complexity. The M series is developed based on the NP programmable Solar R series chipsets to meet the protocol upgrade requirements of future services, protect customer investment, and ensure smooth network evolution.
