HG8145V5 FTTH is a intelligent routing-type Optical Network Terminal (ONT) in FTTH solution. By using the GPON technology, ultra-broadband access is provided for home users. The product supports 802.11ac dual-frequency bands and features high-performance forwarding capabilities to ensure an excellent experience with voice, Internet, and HD video services. These features make the HG8145V5 a perfect option for broadband access.

Passive Optical Network (PON) is a pure media network, which avoids the electromagnetic interference and lightning impact of external equipment, reduces the failure rate of lines and external equipment, improves system reliability, and saves maintenance costs.
Passive optical network is a point-to-multipoint optical fiber transmission and access technology, the downlink adopts the broadcast mode, the uplink adopts the time division multiple access mode, which can flexibly form a tree, star, bus type and other topologies, and only a simple optical brancher needs to be installed at the optical branch point, so it has the advantages of saving optical cable resources, bandwidth resource sharing, saving equipment room investment, fast network construction speed, and low comprehensive network construction cost. There are two types of passive optical networks: ATM–PON and Ethernet–PON.

• Plug and Play: Supports remote automatic provisioning of voice, broadband, multicast and other services through the OMCI protocol and TR069 without on-site configuration.
• Remote diagnosis: support POTS port external line test, call emulation, PPPoE dial-up emulation, and easily realize remote fault location.
