Cisco MDS 9250i Multiservice Switch Overview
Cisco MDS 9250i Multiservice Switch provides up to forty 16 Gbps Fibre Channel ports, two 10 Gb Ethernet IP storage service ports, and eight 10 Gb Ethernet Fibre Channel (FCoE) ports in a fixed two-rack-unit (2RU) endrika endrika. The Cisco MDS 9250i can connect to an existing local Fibre Channel network to protect your existing storage network. As standard, IP-based Cisco SAN Extended Application Pack licenses are enabled on two fixed 10 Gb Ethernet IP storage service ports, enabling IP Fibre Channel (FCIP) and compression on the switch without additional licenses. Ankoatry ny, the Cisco MDS 9250i platform uses eight 10 Gb Ethernet FCoE ports to connect to directly connected FCoE and Fibre Channel storage devices and supports multi-layer unified network fabric interconnects directly through FCoE.
