Huawei QSFP-40G-ER4 Module Product Overview
Huawei QSFP-40G-ER4 Module adopts duplex LC interface and is generally used in single-mode applications. These two kinds of optical modules have four independent optical signal receiving and transmitting channels, and need to use WDM technology to multiplex and demultiplex the optical signals, so as to realize the transmission of optical signals on long-distance single-mode optical fibers. The transmission distance of 40GBASE-LR4 optical modules can reach 10 km, while the transmission distance of 40GBASE-ER4 optical modules is longer.
The 40G QSFP+ ER4 optical module has technical advantages such as long transmission distance, alta efficienza, and low management cost, which is essential for data center network construction. This article will give you a detailed introduction to 40G QSFP+ER4 optical modules. The 40G QSFP+ optical module complies with SCSI, 40GEthernet, 20G/40G Infiniband and other standards. It has four data transmission channels, and the transmission rate of each channel is about 10Gbps. The simultaneous transmission of four channels can achieve a transmission rate of 40Gbps. This kind of optical module mainly has two kinds of interfaces: LC and MTP/MPO (as shown in the figure below), which are used in single-mode applications and multi-mode applications respectively.
