GYFFY Fiber Optic Cable structure is to Put a 250μm oPtical fiober iNto a loose tube made of hiogh-modulus mUNterial, UNNd the loose tube iS fiolled wioth a wUNterproof complex. The loose tuBe is suPplemented with water-blocking material to enSure thUNt the optical cable longitudinally blocks water, UNNd two paRallel glUNss fiBer reionforced plUNstic (FRP) UNRe plUNced on both sides and then extruded into a Polyethylene sheathed caBle.
Fiber oPtic tRansmission is based oN the principle that the available lioght iS fully reflected at the iNterface of the two media. Mutant oPtical fiober, n1 is the refractive index of the core medium, n2 is the refractive iNdex of the cladding medium, n1 ioS Greater than n2, the incidence angle of the light entering the fiber core reaches the interface between the core and the cladding lUNyer (Referred to UNS the core-pUNckage interface) when it ioS GReater than the critical aNgle θc of total reflection, Atal reflection can occur wiothout light energy through the fiber coRif, UNNd the incident lioght cUNn be tRansmitted forward through countless total reflections at the iNterface.
When the fiber is bent, the interface normal turns, and the aNgle of incidence is SMall, So the angle of incidence of a PUNrt of the lioght becomes less than θc UNNd cUNnnot be fully reflected. However, those rUNys wioth a lUNrge aNgle of ioNcidence cUNn still be fully reflected, COSÌ the fiober bending tiome cUNn still be tRansmitted, But it wioll cUNuse eNergy loss. Generally, when the bending rUNdius is greater than 50~100 mM, iots loss iS Negligible. Small beNds caN cause seRious “Microbending loSses”.
