EG8040H5 FTTH is an indoor optical network terminal (ONT). Through GPON technology, EG8040H5 provides ultra-broadband access for home and enterprise users. This model offers four GE Ethernet interfaces. and has high-performance service forwarding capabilities, ensuring a good experience in Internet and high-definition video services. GPON (Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Networks) technology is the latest generation of broadband passive optical integrated access standard based on the ITU-TG.984.x standard. It has many advantages such as high bandwidth, alta efficienza, large coverage, and rich user interfaces. It is regarded by most operators as an ideal technology to realize broadband and comprehensive transformation of access network services. GPON was first proposed by the FSAN organization in September 2002. On this basis, ITU-T completed the formulation of ITU-T G.984.1 and G.984.2 in March 2003, and completed G.984.1 and G.984.2 in February and June 2004. 984.3 standardization. - Unprecedented high bandwidth. GPON has a rate of up to 2.5 Gbps, which can provide a large enough bandwidth to meet the increasing demand for high bandwidth in future networks, and the asymmetric characteristics can better adapt to the broadband data service market.
- Full service access guaranteed by QoS. GPON can carry ATM cells and/or GEM frames at the same time, and has a good ability to provide service levels, support QoS guarantee and full service access. Attualmente, ATM technology for carrying multiple services such as voice, PDH, and Ethernet has been very mature; the technology for using GEM to carry various user services has also been unanimously recognized by everyone, and has been widely used and developed.
- GPON can encapsulate services of any type and rate in the original format and then transmit it via PON. So how is the data encapsulation of GPON realized? The ONU receives upstream ETH, TDM or SDH data from the UNI (User Network Interface) porta, and the ONU encapsulates the upstream data into GEM frames and sends them to the OLT. The OLT decapsulates the GEM frame into ETH, TDM or SDH data and sends it out through the uplink port. Similar processing in the downstream direction
- It supports TDM business well. TDM services are mapped to GEM frames. Since the GPON TC frame has a frame length of 125 μs, it can directly support TDM services. TDM services can also be mapped to ATM cells, and can also provide real-time transmission with QoS guarantee
