Patch Cord SS-OP-D-LC-M-5 Product Overview
Glasfaser-Patchkabel (auch als Glasfaserstecker bekannt) means that connector plugs are installed at both ends of the optical cable to realize the active connection of the optical path; A plug at one end is called a pigtail. Glasfaser-Patchkabel/-Kabel ähneln Koaxialkabeln, except that there is no mesh shielding. In the center is a glass core where light travels. In multimode fibers, the diameter of the core is 50μm~65μm, which is roughly the thickness of a human hair. The diameter of the single-mode fiber core is 8μm~10μm. The outside of the core is surrounded by a glass envelope with a lower refractive index than the core to keep the fiber inside the core. Outside is a thin plastic jacket to protect the envelope.
(1) FC type optical fiber jumper: the external reinforcement method is metal sleeve, and the fastening method is screw buckle. It is generally used on the ODF side
(2) SC type optical fiber patch cord: the connector connected to the GBIC optical module, its shell is rectangular, and the fastening method is plug-in and unplugged pin latch, which does not need to be rotated
(3) ST type optical fiber jumper: often used in optical fiber distribution frame, the shell is round, and the fastening method is screw buckle.
(4) LC type fiber optic patch cord: the connector connecting the SFP module, which is made of the easy-to-operate modular jack (RJ) latching mechanism
