800G QSFP-DD800 SR8 is designed for use in 800 Gigabit Ethernet links on up to 100m of multi mode fiber.

800G QSFP-DD800 SR8 Product Overview

The module is compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE 802.3db. We offer transceivers for DR8, 2xDR4, 2xFR4 and 2xLR4 interfaces. Our vertical integration for optical engines enables leading performance and power consumption.

800G OSFP optical module includes two architecture solutions, 4x100Gx2 and 8X100G. In addition to the traditional EML design, it also adopts silicon-based solution to meet short-distance transmission needs. The products of this series comply with IEE802.3ck and OSFP MSA standards, and support CMIS4.0. Products are mainly used in 800G Ethernet, data centers and cloud networks.

The working group also demonstrated the technical feasibility of single-channel 200G optical transmission for 800G FR4 applications. Experimental and simulation results showed that it is necessary to add a low-latency and low-power FEC coding sublayer in the optical module to achieve the target power budget. Technical details of this new FEC will be presented in the 800G-FR4 standard specification to facilitate multi-vendor interoperability. Gleichzeitig, device bandwidth enhancement and module package design optimization are two issues that need further study.
